Russia and China are working on joint projects for the development of the Arctic region, Nikolay Korchunov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated in a comment to journalists on November 14.

“Projects are being developed, first and foremost, aimed at the sustainable development of the Arctic region and important for the economy and science of the two countries… Oceanology, marine research,” the diplomat said.

One of the joint Russian-Chinese projects for developing the Arctic region is creating a hydrogen-powered station Snezhinka in the Yamalo-Nenets District. The purpose of the station construction is to test modern nature-saving technologies of life support and innovations in robotics, medicine, and other areas.
