Kurginyan: Everything Russian suffers unprecedented censorship in the West

22.12.2023, Aleksandrovskoye.

Everything Russian is subject to unprecedented discrimination, in law as well, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on December 14 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.

“Who has been marginalized and demonized to the extreme with legal consequences? Legal ones. How many incidents of discrimination have taken place in this Europe? To what extent has the Russian language been discriminated?” Kurginyan wondered.

The expert reminded that the practice of “ghettoization of the population” applied to entire communities, which was previously used in the Baltic States, begins to be promoted to other countries.

The unprecedented nature of the Russophobia becomes clear from the comparison of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict with other similar ones like the Iran-Iraq or the Indian-Pakistan ones, the political scientist noted.

“Does anyone make any accusations against anyone for anything, i.e. against Pakistan or India? This insanity of super-sanctions was indeed used only to this case!” Kurginyan stressed.

Also, the leader of Essence of Time reminded about a severe censorship that the West introduced against the Russian culture, which bans the art of Dostoevsky and Chaikovsky.

“And how do they call this ban, this censorship, which is absolutely blatant and incompatible with human rights, which are supposed to be essential for the West? They call it ‘cancel culture,’” the political scientist explained.
