Shoigu: Ukrainian army losses in February exceed 11,000 people

The increase in arms supplies to Kiev from NATO countries by no means contributes to victories of the Ukrainian fighters, but only aggravates losses in manpower, which in February this year exceeded 11,000 people, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said during a conference call with the command of the Russian Armed Forces on March 7.

“The support of NATO countries for the Kiev regime does not lead to the success of Ukrainian troops on the battlefield. On the contrary, there has been a significant increase in losses among Ukrainian personnel,” the minister said.

Shoigu specified that losses in Ukrainian army units in February increased by more than 40% compared to January.

He also noted that the Ukrainian militants also suffered losses in those units whose personnel underwent training under NATO programmes.

Russia is conducting a special military operation in Ukraine to demilitarize and denazify the country, whose ruling regime, relying on a specific Nazi ideology, is carrying out genocide against Russian-speaking fellow citizens.
