Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki did not rule out the possibility of the conflict in Ukraine turning into World War III in an interview with El Mundo on February 6.

When asked by a journalist about the end of the conflict in Ukraine, the Polish prime minister said that this would happen when “Russia decides to leave the territory of Ukraine voluntarily or by force.”

The journalist asked whether the “forced option” would mean World War III, and Morawiecki said that “all scenarios are considered.”

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the West’s supply of tanks to Ukraine, stressed that “if World War III starts, it will, alas, involve not on tanks and not even fighter jets.”

Russia has been conducting a military special operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin outlined the goals of the special operation – the protection of civilians, the liberation of Donbass and the creation of conditions guaranteeing the security of the Russian Federation.
