Kurginyan explains Ukrainian nationalists’ attitude towards the civilian population

26.03.2022, Moscow.

During the Great Patriotic War, the Nazis hid behind foreign civilian populations, but Ukrainian nationalists have been hiding behind their own civilians, philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on March 25 on program Time Will Show on Channel One.

LPR People Militia official representative Andrey Marochko said that Ukrainian nationalists do not allow officers and soldiers of the Ukrainian Army to lay down their arms, operating as barrier troops and shooting their comrades in the back.

Kiev has been supplying ammunition to its military positions by the same routes that the civilian population has been using to leave the zone of hostilities, so these supplies cannot be stopped by military means. Nazi Germany adopted similar tactics, putting concentration camp prisoners on the roofs of train cars containing Nazi troops.

Kurginyan added that for the Nazis the prisoners of concentration camps were foreigners, but in Ukraine nationalists have been hiding behind peaceful people who are supposedly their own.

According to the political scientist, it is an absolutely vile practice of Ukrainian nationalists who perceive the civilian population of Donbass as Moskals (Russian people in nationalists’ terminology) or Moskalized Ukrainians. The Ukrainian nationalists consider these kinds of people to be alien and expendable. They do not feel sorry for these civilians.

Kurginyan pointed out that usually the military seek to release the civilian population in order to minimize the number of victims, but Ukrainian nationalists close humanitarian corridors and do not let civilians out of cities.

He added that this behavior is absolutely inhuman and contradicting to the warrior culture, as warriors want to fight without its own civilians. The real warriors should have let civilians to go, while Ukrainian nationalists have been hiding behind them.
