Ukrainian army shells the outskirts of Donetsk using mortars

The Ukrainian military shelled the outskirts of Donetsk on May 18, a representative of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC) told reporters during a briefing in Donetsk.

He said that 12 120mm mortar shells were fired on the outskirts of Donetsk from the Ukrainian army’s positions.

The parties to the conflict have agreed on additional ceasefire measures, which are currently in force in Donbass. These measures include permanent ceasefire, prohibit the deployment of weapons in and near towns and villages, as well as offensive and reconnaissance and sabotage operations.

The fortification or usage of unmanned aerial vehicles in the vicinity of the contact line are also prohibited.

The agreement stipulates that the parties to take disciplinary measures against those who violate the ceasefire, which should remain in force until the conflict has been resolved.
