The idea that the Islamic world is separated from the West and alien to it is a mistake, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 16 on the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.
In Russia, it is believed that we could ally with the Islamic world against the USA, the leader of Essence of Time noted, but this opinion is deeply mistaken.
“There is no Islamic world autonomous from the West. This is a fiction of our patriots who allege that the Islamic world opposes the USA, and so we could ally with it. However, the US has this Islamic world strung up of a very strong hook,” Kurginyan stressed.
The political scientist referred to the history of how the Islamist movement emerged under the influence of the British military intelligence. For example, in the Suez Canal zone, the British controller-general in Egypt, Lord Evelyn Cromer himself supervised these projects.
“The Muslim Brotherhood (organization banned in Russia) was actually invented by Lord Cromer in the Suez Canal zone,” Kurginyan reminded.
However, the expert noted, the false notion that Islamists and the US are opponents is believed not only in Russia.
“Every time you explain this to the Jews, you have to repeat ‘this is wrong!’ [but they respond], ‘No, no, Islam is bad, but the USA is good and it will save us!’” Kurginyan described the myth that exists in Israel.
The political scientist warned about the threat of Islamism as a tool to destroy the Middle Eastern states and undermine global stability.
“Who needs these Middle Eastern states when there is a billion-strong Islamic population? [The West] needs it together with what it bears. Islam itself is a great religion with all its wonderful peoples, but the Islamism that is being prepared is aimed at undermining global stability. And it will continue to move forward,” Kurginyan concluded.
