“The US as a state is no longer the master of the big and long game – that’s for sure,” he said.
As an example, the expert mentioned one of the largest investment companies in the world which is called BlackRock. No one can identify its owner, as all the owners of the shares have very small stakes. And the issues of long-term strategy can be discussed in two or three institutions in London.
The political scientist is sure that there are those who think about what the world will be like in the future. Do they have real opportunities to manage the processes is a standalone question, Kurginyan added.
“I don’t know who is really running the processes today. I only see that in reality it happens as if the steering core is something, sorry to say, neo-Nazi,” the philosopher emphasized.
In December 2022, The American Conservative magazine reported that Kiev had entered into an agreement with BlackRock under which the company would coordinate investment processes to rebuild Ukraine. The parties also agreed that this organization will “consult” the Ukrainian government on financial issues.
