02.11.2023, Rostov-on-Don.

Russian soldiers in the zone of Russia’s special military operation received the next batch of military-technical assistance from the Rostov region, including the Peroed systems for combating UAVs. These systems will help strengthen the region’s air defense, the press service of the regional administration reported on November 2.

The total cost of the transferred batch is $1.6 million. It includes five pickup trucks UAZ and several portable complexes for combating unmanned aerial vehicles Peroed.

“The Peroed complexes handed over to the servicemen will improve the safety of the region’s residents and provide anti-aircraft protection of the sky above the Don region,” the statement reads.

The Peroed complex is the latest Russian development. It has already proved itself well in the zone of Russia’s special military. The soldiers from the Rostov region also appreciated the new equipment. It was successfully used during the training of one of the mobile firing groups.

Pickup trucks were also involved in the exercises. As one of the soldiers noted, “UAZs have high cross-country capability and mobility, and in tandem with the Peroed system, they can effectively destroy moving UAVs.”
