The US still fears the militarization of Germany and Japan, yet they are accelerating processes that could bring down the Yalta and Potsdam agreements, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 10 in the ObjectivNO program on the Belarusian ONT TV channel.
One factor that restrains Turkey from a conflict with Russia is its membership in NATO, namely Article 5 of the alliance’s charter, believes the political scientist. He also suggested a possible military alliance between Turkey and Japan, which would negate Article 5, which obliges all NATO members to go to war in the event of aggression against one of the participating countries.
“For the time being, what I’m saying is too bold a hypothesis. The US fear the militarization of Germany, the militarization of Japan. They are afraid of all this, as well as many other things. But, as they say in such cases, what the eyes fear, the hands do. The process is moving in this direction. And in order for it to move further more, it is necessary to draw an absolute line under the Yalta and Potsdam agreements sooner or later and to end that era. And, everything that has to do with this,” said Kurginyan.
The post-WWII system of international relations has already been greatly shaken after the collapse of the USSR, noted the analyst. Now, the US intend to completely reset it, believes the expert..
“And this cannot be reset without Germany and Japan joining the Security Council and without Russia withdrawing from it. This is terribly difficult to implement, but if it is not implemented, there will always be the relics of Yalta and Potsdam, because the UN Security Council is its main relic. So we need to deal with it,” says Kurginyan.
