Iranian Foreign Ministry: Iran and US to hold prisoners exchange

Tehran and Washington have reached an agreement to exchange prisoners, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Mehr news agency reported March 12.

Abdollahian said Iran and the US are exchanging messages as part of the talks on the renewal of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. According to him, the sides have agreed to exchange prisoners in the near future.

From our point of view, everything is ready, and the American side is in the process of final technical agreement,” Abdollahian concluded.

The Iranian minister said about the officials that “they have not shown the necessary courage in making the final decision.” Noting that Iran “proposed its ideas very clearly and right at the negotiations.
