Ukraine continues to attack Russian positions, sending its citizens to death, Army General Sergey Surovikin, commander of the Joint Group of Forces in the area of the special military operation, told reporters on October 18.
According to Surovikin, “the situation in the zone of special military operation is tense.” At this moment “the enemy attempts to attack positions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, first of all, these are Kupyansk, and Krasnoliman, Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog directions.”
At the same time, “Ukraine draws all available reserves to the front. Among them, fighters of the territorial defense battalions predominate. They are sent to death. The country loses between 600 and 1000 fighters wounded and killed every day.”
he general pointed out that the Russian command, on the contrary, does not strive for high rates of stress, and methodically destroys the enemy, moving forward with care for the lives of its soldiers and civilians. He also spoke of the successful use of the Kinzhal hypersonic air missiles and more than 8,000 Russian UAV sorties.
