Kurginyan names Ukraine‘s main problem

17.08.2021, Aleksandrovskoye.

The internal amenability of the majority of Ukrainians prevents them from realizing that what they face is a matter of life and death; however, this will happen sooner or later, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on August 5 on the air of the Tema program on the Union channel of Donetsk.

According to Kurginyan, this is what led to the effective occupation of greater Ukraine by the Western Ukrainian minority. Whatever configuration of forces appears after Zelensky in Ukraine, what has always been the root of problems will maintain, the political scientist believes. This is the division of the country’s population to a radical minority and an malleable inactive majority.

“In Ukraine, there is a consolidated radical, ecstatically mad minority that at the same time is predatory and vigilant, let us call it the Bandera Nazis, Western Ukrainians, whatever, which have effectively occupied Ukraine. This minority controls all the others, and it has its own ways to successfully dictate its will to the greater Ukraine, that I have always thought is so friendly and malleable,” Kurginyan noted.

He stressed that the minority, which is ready to govern, uses propaganda to instigate the softer Ukraine, which abides for some reason. The political scientist pointed out the fatal role of this fact.

“This has always been the fate of Ukrainian policy. Until this minority creeps away from Ukraine’s body, it will eat this body up to its end. It has colonial thinking, this is an internal colonization. Galicia has colonized the greater Ukraine, and this Ukraine abides for some reason. Why it abides is a great mystery,” the political scientist said.

Kurginyan assumed that this amenability is what prevents them to realize the seriousness of the situation. “Maybe, this internal malleability and slight irony is what prevents them from realizing that there is a matter of life and death, and they think, ‘well, no problem, it will resolve somehow, let us not overdramatize, it is not that bad.’ People are being burnt, blood is shed, but they still keep saying ‘No problem, it will resolve somehow,’” the political scientist explained adding that this situation will end sooner or later.

“Any propaganda is possible, but if the power and central heating are cut off, then you cannot convince people somewhere in some Subzeroville that they feel the summer heat. They will feel cold, and that’s it. This is what will happen to the Ukrainians. Sooner or later, but this is where it is moving irrevocably,” Kurginyan concluded. He explained that there is no figure in Ukraine who would not be involved in the restless orgy of theft, thus exterminating all of Ukraine’s potentials, both pro-Russian and anti-Russian.

In 2014, a coup d’etat took places in Ukraine. Its core was made of nationalist anti-Russian forces formed in Western Ukraine. Many radical far-right groups operate in Ukraine, and Ukrainian nationalists, who collaborated with Hitler during the Great Patriotic War, are glorified.

For example, the birthday of Stepan Bandera, the organizer of the Ukrainian nationalist movement in Western Ukraine, is celebrated on the state level, and annual marches are held to celebrate the anniversary of the SS Galicia Division (organization banned in Russia).

A survey by the Ukrainian Institute of the Future (UIF) from January 27 to February 5, 2021, showed that 49% of Ukrainians believe corruption is the main obstacle for the development of the state; according to 38% of respondents, Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament) is the most corrupt authority.
