Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN accuses the West of supporting Ukrainian Bandera Nazis

02.06.2021, New York.

The West’s support for Ukrainian nationalists and Bandera Nazis is the main cause of the conflict in Donbas, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzia said on June 2 during the Security Council Arria Formula meeting held via videoconference.

“I also hope that the main message is clear – unless the Western supporters of Kiev change their position on further encouraging Kiev’s aggression, violence, neo-nazism and unabated nationalism, the conflict in Ukraine will yet be far from resolution,” the permanent representative said.

Nebenzia accused the Ukrainian authorities of neglecting the interests of their own citizens living in Donbas. Instead of taking care of them, the Ukrainian authorities calls them separatists and terrorists, the diplomat stressed.

Nebenzia reminded his colleagues that it was not Donbass which went to invade Kiev but Kiev which went to Donbass with the Ukrainian army, with the orders to shoot and kill its own citizens.

The Permanent Representative expressed his hope that the truth about the events in Donbass will finally reach those who are instrumental in facilitating the conflict, and it will help to resolve the conflict.

Clashes with the use of heavy weaponry and aircraft have been taking place in Donbass since 2014. The united West has supported Kyiv’s aggression in every possible way all these years.
