Details of MI6 representative’s meeting with terrorists in Syria become known

The leader of the Syrian militants Abu Mohammad al-Julani handed over compromising documents on the European terrorists operating in Syria to British intelligence, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source in the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) informed on June 2.

Abu Mohammad al-Julani, commander-in-chief of the the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham militant group (organization banned in Russia), handed over to British MI6 intelligence’s representative Jonathan Powell a dossier on terrorists in Syria who have European citizenship.

“Dossiers were handed over that Europe can use against terrorists with European citizenship,” the source informed.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, al-Julani met with British MI6 intelligence’s representative and former British special envoy to Libya Jonathan Powell in the Idlib de-escalation zone in Syria. The meeting took place at the Bab al-Hawa checkpoint on the Syrian-Turkish border.

According to the TASS news agency, the possibility of removing Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (organization banned in Russia) from the list of terrorist groups was discussed during the meeting.
