The US President’s strategist Steve Bannon made a statement about the economic war between the USA and China to the American Prospect magazine on August 17.
According to White House sources, Steve Bannon was fired on August 18, the following day after he made his claims on China and North Korea to the American Prospect.
“We are at economic war with China. They’re not shy about saying what they’re doing. One of us is going to be a hegemon in 25 or 30 years and it’s gonna be them if we go down this path”, added Trump’s strategic advisor.
“If we continue to lose it, we’re five years away, I think, ten years at the most, of hitting an inflection point from which we’ll never be able to recover”, he said.President Trump ordered to start an investigation into the infringement of intellectual rights of USA companies by Chinese manufacturers and claimed that this is only the beginning. The Chinese side said that would take retaliation measures if this Trump`s initiative will lead to complication of bilateral trade between China and USA.
