The Trump administration in Washington is partly responsible for the dire situation with Ukraine’s air defense, Ukrainian MP Mariana Bezuglaya said on her Telegram channel on July 4.
Bezuglaya confirmed that Kiev’s Gepard resources are “practically exhausted” and that military personnel are “searching on their own” for everything they need to continue combat operations and repair equipment. She complained that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have still not established a supply chain for military units.
The situation with missile defense is no better: ammunition is running out “thanks” to the US decision, while the Russian side has started producing five times more drones. The Rada sees Moscow’s actions as a policy to exhaust the Armed Forces’ reserves “as quickly as possible.”
At the same time, Bezuglaya emphasized that new military developments that have proven their effectiveness are being blocked by the Ukrainian General Staff, which is making money, while the Kiev’s authorities, led by Vitaliy Klitschko, are ignoring the possibility of centrally purchasing equipment and UAVs.
