Kurginyan: Digital world is pregnant with great war

The merging of digital technologies with military structures has made the world today extremely dangerous and the threat of a great war much closer, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on October 5 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.

The political scientist noted that the formation of the Silicon Valley cannot be considered as something separate from US military funding and contracts.

“The Silicon Valley was created by the Pentagon. The notorious fairy tales about Apple making its first computer in a garage are intended for people who are very far from these matters,” Kurginyan said.

According to him, the fact that the Pentagon delegates certain functions to private technological companies does not mean that the government leaves this sector. On the contrary, Kurginyan believes that such structures are part of a wider military and political system.

He stressed that even when the Pentagon delegates anything to Peter Thiel (American businessman, the founder of Palantir), it delegates “from itself to itself.” “These are non-transparent military clans seeking control through their front persons to reduce their accountability,” Kurginyan said.

According to the political scientist, these processes are connected with the general international situation, so the world became much more dangerous after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

“It is so pregnant with war that the only thing that surprises me is that it has not yet started,” the philosopher stressed.

He believes that this kind of a threat can only be countered if the society can see the danger and has a will to live.

“The sooner the deceptive makeup is wiped away and the more vivid and certain is our people’s vision of the truth the sooner they will get prepared and mobilized to save the world. I believe it will be the Russians who will do that,” Kurginyan concluded.
