India is expelling the military advisers of the Pakistani embassy; a corresponding note was handed to the chief Pakistani diplomat Saad Ahmad Warraich, the ANI agency wrote on April 24.

“According to sources, India summoned Warraich and handed over an official note declaring the military diplomats persona non grata,” the article states.

Earlier, it was reported that the total number of diplomatic staff from India and Pakistan would be reduced from the current 55 to 30 by May 1.

It was also decided to immediately close the only active land border crossing between the two countries — Attari.

On April 22 in Pahalgam, terrorists opened fire with automatic weapons on tourists, resulting in the deaths of 26 people. The attack was claimed by the group The Resistance Front (TRF), which is a offshoot of the Kashmiri organization “Lashkar-e-Taiba” (organization banned in Russia).
