The fate of Gaza Strip could become the fate of the entire developing world, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez warned on February 12 in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
According to him, this means dispossession, occupation, and ethnic cleansing.
The Cuban leader emphasized that Washington is shamelessly promoting this “new imperialist-Zionist project.”
He added that there is still a chance to prevent this from happening, but it requires a strong response from the remaining conscience and multilateral institutions to US President Donald Trump’s recent statements about Gaza Strip’s future.
Earlier, Trump stated that all residents of Gaza should be permanently relocated to other countries, while the entire territory should be demolished and placed under US control. He suggested that the USA should oversee reconstruction and transform Gaza Strip into a global tourist resort for the Middle East.
