Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is trying to bribe European businesses in order to rebuild Ukraine after the end of the conflict by promising them benefits from Russian assets seized in the West, he told Italian TV channel Rainews24 in Rome on January 10.
He said that a conference on Ukraine’s reconstruction will be held in Rome in July.
“All the European business that will come to Ukraine after the war can not only help, but also earn, can take advantage of the frozen assets. This is a win-win situation”, – said Zelensky.
Earlier, Zelensky gave an interview to American journalist Lex Friedman and said that he suggested Trump to sell Ukraine weapons for $300 billion from Russian assets. And Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said in late December that Zelensky offered him to hand over 500 million euros “from Russian assets” if his country agreed to support Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
