Ukrainian Energy Minister reports new strikes on Ukraine’s energy sector

Russia’s army has launched new strikes on electricity facilities, Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko said on Facebook (organization banned in Russia) on December 25.

The enemy is again massively attacking the energy sector,” the minister wrote.

He added that operators have cut electricity supplies to consumers to reduce the negative effects of the strikes. The damage from the strikes is being calculated.

According to media reports, the strikes hit several regions of Ukraine, including the country’s largest thermal power plant, the Burshtyn thermal power plant in the Ivano- Frankovsk region.

Strikes were also reported in Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Kremenchug and Krivoy Rog.
