The People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic intends to adopt a three-year budget for the first time in its history, DPR head Denis Pushilin said at a summarizing press conference on December 25, the Donetsk News Agency (DAN) reported.
Pushilin said that the first three-year budget adopted by the DPR People’s Council will be the budget for 2025-2027.
According to Pushilin, this budget will no longer be a budget of survival, but a budget of “development and revival, balanced and socially oriented.” According to him, the adoption of this budget will allow to “ensure sustainable growth of the economy of the Republic, improve the quality of life and welfare of residents.”
The head said that the budget submitted for adoption provides the preservation of all measures of social support for families with children, veterans, the disabled, privileged categories of citizens, including orphans and children left without parental care, as well as participants and veterans of the SMO and members of their families.
As Pushilin said, “this is especially relevant in the light of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s initiative to declare 2025 the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.”
Pushilin said that the adoption of the three-year budget will make it possible to significantly accelerate the pace of reconstruction and construction of housing and civilian infrastructure in Donbass.
