Russian prosecutor-general explains purpose of criminal cases against neo-Nazis in Ukraine

31.03.2024, Moscow.

Criminal cases against Ukrainian neo-Nazis and their Western accomplices will help “for centuries” to secure evidence of their crimes, Russian Prosecutor-General Igor Krasnov said in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin, a video published on Zarubin’s Telegram account on March 31.

Zarubin questioned why cases are brought against Ukrainian and Western politicians who are abroad. The Prosecutor General agreed that at the moment it is unrealistic to see them imprisoned, but there is another aspect to the investigations.

It is necessary to collect all documentary evidence of the atrocities of neo-Nazis, their supervisors, their accomplices, their ideological inspirers,” Krasnov explained. – There is the principle of inevitability of punishment. In the future, we will present all our collected materials for consideration in a fair court, we will present them to the world community, having secured legally significant circumstances for centuries“.

According to the Prosecutor General, this may happen “soon enough“.
