The short-sightedness of some of Kiev’s allies resulted in the Ukrainian armed units’ lack of long-range weapons, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on March 17 during an evening video address to the country.
“In such difficult war conditions, the lack of long-range weapons in our army is an obvious short-sightedness of some partners,” the Ukrainian leader complained.
Germany is still debating whether it is reasonable to send long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz repeatedly opposed the delivery of these weapons to the Kiev regime.
The German politician pointed out that if the supplies of these missiles were approved, it would be necessary to send German military to Ukraine. The German chancellor considers this option unacceptable for Germany.
