The West intends to take control of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. Opinion

Western countries may send their troops to Ukraine not to go to war with Russia but to take control of critical infrastructure, according to the report from the theater of war, published in The Essence of Time newspaper, issue 576.

In late February, the Bild newspaper wrote that some Western countries admitted the possibility of sending their military units to Ukraine in case of a large-scale breakthrough of the frontline by the Russian army. Although publicly they do not support the proposal to send the military to the conflict zone.

According to Bild, France, the UK, Poland and the Baltic states are among the countries allowing troops to be sent to Ukraine.

“It is highly doubtful that the Europeans will shed their blood for the sake of Kiev, but takeing control of critical infrastructure facilities, such as nuclear power plants, hydroelectric power plants, gas storage facilities, etc. is quite possible. It is unlikely that Russian General Staff will dare to directly attack the NATO units,” The Essence of Time editorial reads.
