An Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle created in Russia negates US investments in the missile defense system, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with journalist Dmitry Kiselyov on March 13.
Putin said that the size of Russia’s investment in developing the Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle is simply not comparable to the United States’ investment in the missile defense system, and the Avangard easily overcomes the entire missile defense system.
Putin said that by the example of the creation of this missile, Russia understood how to act.
Earlier, the Russian President stated that the level of modern weapons and equipment in the strategic nuclear forces of Russia had been brought to 95%, and in the naval component these indicators have been brought to almost 100%
