Weapons from Western military aid to Ukraine were found in possession of the armed units of Mexican cartels and some paramilitary units in the Middle East, an anonymous representative of military agencies told TASS on February 4.
“Weapons supplied to the Ukrainian armed units were already observed in possession of Mexican cartels and Hamas,” the official said. The TASS interlocutor noted that after the appearance of this information, the Western authorities began to trust the Ukrainian regime in Kiev less.
The official pointed out that the distrust of the Western countries is currently expressed in the strengthening of checks on the corruption component related to arms deliveries.
Western military aid to Ukraine already exceeded $100 billion. Under the program of aid to Kiev, Western countries write off old military equipment, as well as develop new military equipment and put it into service.
Earlier, it was reported that an agreement on bilateral security guarantees between Germany and Ukraine might be signed on February 16 during the Munich Security Conference.
