Kurginyan: NATO is not prepared for a conflict with Russia

03.02.2024, Moscow.

NATO is unprepared for a total war in both logistical and motivational aspects, and this will take several years, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on January 26 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.

The political scientist reminded about the Tomahawk missiles that the US used to deal with minor countries. However, it faced a lack of these missiles even in the war in Iraq in 2003.

“The Ukrainian events suggest that such missiles, if the war keeps going the same way, are enough for ten days. Maybe one month, but not more than that,” Kurginyan noted.

The most critical, however, is the issue of the population’s motivation for a total war. It is lacking both in England and in France. It is unclear to what extent Germany is prepared.

“When Zelensky is saying, ‘Give us weapons, because there is no one else to defend you,’ this makes some sense,” Kurginyan noted.

The leader of Essence of Time noted that the well-publicized military coalition of the Western countries is formally a powerful force. However, we should not forget that in its current condition is is just a mess.

“This machine is poorly managed, there are no actual thirty countries, there are the armed forces of the United States of America… Several years are required to bring Europe to a military condition,” Kurginyan believes.
