The first passenger flight was successfully performed by the upgraded Tu-214, landing at Sochi airport on February 3, the airport’s press service wrote on its Telegram channel.
Red Wings Airlines performed the flight on the Moscow (Zhukovsky) – Sochi route on an upgraded Tu-214 aircraft. “Traditionally, the vessel was greeted with a water arch,” the publication noted.
According to the Sochi airport, the occupancy rate of the first flight exceeded 90%. Passengers left positive comments about the spacious cabin and comfortable flight. Soon, the carrier will start operating flights on Tu-214 from Moscow to Yerevan, Batumi and then to Tel Aviv.
