Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his opinion on the West’s failed attempts to contain China, speaking at a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on September 12.
Putin emphasized that the West is trying to slow China’s development, but, in his opinion, this chance has already been missed. “The train has left,” and the emerging new centers of power will continue their growth.
In addition, the Russian president expressed the importance of the Far East for Russia’s future, drawing attention to the vast natural resources available in the region.
