Myśl Polska expert: Truth is the main enemy of the Polish authorities

12.09.2023, Warsaw.

Truth has become Poland’s main enemy, columnist Andrzej Szlęzak wrote in his article for Myśl Polska published on September 12.

“I have come to the conclusion that the worst enemy of PiS [Poland’s ruling party – Rossa Primavera News Agency] is not Donald Tusk, Germany or Vladimir Putin. PiS’s greatest enemy is the truth,” Schlęzak wrote.

He stated that if PiS wins the election, the truth will lose. The author noted that truth usually presents an obstacle to building political systems. But without truth, there is no lasting order within a country.

On October 15, parliamentary elections will be held in Poland. A national referendum will be held at the same time. It will include questions on the admission of illegal migrants, privatization, increase in the retirement age, and the demolition of barriers on the border with Belarus.

Poland is a parliamentary republic. The ruling government forms the parliament.

The opposition Civic Platform party has promised to court PiS in case of its victory.
