Military airfield damaged in Poltava region in Ukraine

The military airfield in Mirgorod, Poltava region of Ukraine, was damaged, the head of the military administration of the region Dmitry Lunin said on June 10 on his Telegram-channel.

The airfield infrastructure and equipment were damaged. A fire broke out at the airfield, which was partially localized. The equipment is being evacuated to safe locations, Lunin said.

The fire started as a result of Russia’s strike against the airfield.

At night, an air alert sounded in some regions of Ukraine, including Poltava region.

The Russian military launched ground, naval and airborne missile strikes on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. The targets of the strikes are mainly military and energy facilities.

May 8 was the day of the most intense bombing. Kiev mayor Vitaliy Klitschko called the attack on the city on that day the most massive in the entire period of special operations.
