iPhone, wallet and bank cards were stolen from a US Embassy attaché in Kiev, the Ukrainian newspaper Vesti wrote on June 8, citing sources in the Kiev police.
The newspaper wrote that the attaché came to the police on the evening of June 7 with a statement that he had been robbed in Shevchenko Park.
Later it became known that $400 was withdrawn from one of the stolen cards. The newspaper also said that the diplomat was intoxicated at the time of the theft.
There is no official confirmation of this information from the police.
