All the conceptual and strategic initiative in Russia has been lost, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on May 26 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.
“We lost all our conceptual initiative, all our strategic initiative. It cannot be regained instantly. It has nothing to do with idle talk. This is a deep and serious work. It was more or less maintained in the Soviet Union. Perhaps it was insufficient, but it took place,” Kurginyan said.
According to the political scientist, if anyone wants to fight a new way, this battle must be called pivotal, and appropriate parameters have to be used. If the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces have to be revived form a condition when they are “an appendage to the integration” into the West, and they should be transformed into an alternative to NATO, we will have to pay a price for that, Kurginyan noted.
“Please, pay its prices and create a new strategy to this end. A new strategy, but not a new foreign policy. <…> Create a new strategy. Then an appropriate domestic, foreign, industrial, military etc. policy will follow. And based on all that, assemble a new historical destiny of Russia,” the political scientist said.
Kurginyan believes that we need to create such a model of this breakthrough which will make it clear that Russia “is not just like an abandoned wife cursing against her husband called ‘West,’ but it is really engaged in the bonds of holy wedlock with supreme forces.” And this holy wedlock means a new destiny and a new happiness for everyone, the philosopher said.
“Then we can win, and I am really waiting for that. And I am waiting for that not only from certain persons like our top officials. This is a separate issue. I am waiting for that from everyone. I am waiting for a moment when people will say to themselves, ‘Well…’ They still can say that. They understand that this is not about money, but about survival. They understand that destiny is at stake,” the political scientist said.
Kurginyan noted that if everyone understands this, then everything will be changing in a soft, powerful, quiet, non-disastrous, and sufficiently quick manner. According to the political scientist, in this case he understands how we will be saved and how a new reality will emerge, which will bring a new happiness and a new truth, and which will be consistent with survival.
“Otherwise, we will first face certain troubles as the ones we have now, and they will continue. They cannot improve within this reality,” Kurginyan concluded.
