A Ukrainian drone attacked emergency service employees in Novaya Kakhovka on June 6. The city’s mayor Vladimir Leontiev said this on June 7 on the air of the TV channel Russia 24.
According to him, an explosive device was dropped on rescuers who were evacuating people from flooded areas in Novaya Kakhovka.
“People who were rescuing and evacuating people were hit by a drone,” Leontiev said.
Nevertheless, the mayor reported that no one was injured as a result of this attack.
Earlier, the acting governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo said that the Ukrainian armed units continued shelling towns and villages that were flooded after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
