Serbia maintains its military neutrality, but is ready to improve cooperation with the US army to preserve peace and stability in the region and beyond, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said at a meeting with US National Guard Bureau Chief Gen. Daniel Hokanson, RTS informed on June 7.
Vucic informed General Hokanson in more detail about the causes of the escalation of violence in Kosovo and, in this context, thanked the US side for its involvement and clear signals in reducing tensions.
Hokanson emphasized the great contribution of the Serbian Armed Forces to peacekeeping missions around the world.
The sides also discussed concrete ways for cooperation between Serbia and the USA in the field of defense.
