Nicaragua reaffirms its support to Russia in fight against neo-fascism

Laureano Ortega, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Nicaragua for the development of relations with Russia, made a statement on supporting Russia in its fight against neo-fascism promoted by the United States and its European allies, Prensa Latina wrote on May 31.

The representative of the Sandinista government participated in an online meeting on the problems of neocolonialism. Delegations from Algeria, Brazil, China, Cuba, the African National Congress (ANC), Indonesia, Laos, Lebanon, Mozambique, Myanmar, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Syria and Venezuela also participated in the meeting.

Laureano Ortega said Nicaragua stands for a multipolar world. He sent greetings to Russia from President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo.

The meeting participants agreed to strengthen the unity of developing countries in the fight against new neocolonialist practices. During the meeting, questions were raised about eliminating the dollar’s hegemony as a payment currency and the need to move forward in building a multipolar, more equitable world.
