31.01.2023, Brasília.

Brazil does not want to participate in the conflict in Ukraine, even indirectly, so it is not interested in sending weapons and ammunition to Germany, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said on January 31 during a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who is visiting the Latin American country, the news portal O Globo informs.

Lula da Silva said Brazil is not interested in sending weapons and ammunition to Germany.

“Brazil is not interested in transferring ammunition so that it can be used in wars between Russia and Ukraine. Brazil is a country of peace. Therefore, Brazil does not want to be involved, even indirectly,” he said.

Earlier it was reported that the Brazilian leader vetoed the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. Argentine President Alberto Fernández said that his country and Latin American countries, in general, would not supply arms to Ukraine.
