Many countries in the current situation seek to obtain nuclear weapons, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on October 2 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.
According to the analyst, President of France Emmanuel Macron promoted an absolutely new doctrine of a novel kind of deterrence, which was supported by Germany.
“Trump finds it very smart to pay less to Europe making its ensure its defense on its own. But Europe says, ‘Great! Very good, perfect. You loosen your hands, you do not hold us by the throat anymore, so we must militarize. But we cannot militarize unless people seeking to revise the outcome of World War Two come to power,’” the political scientist said.
He noted that Japan is governed by people from parties that deny the crimes of the Japanese military, who are proud of the Japanese soldiers of World War Two, and who glorify their achievements preparing for further phases. At the same time, they say that they would need less than one month to deploy nuclear weapons, i.e. they already have it.
“Now Iran says, ‘Yes, we have a great religious leader who signed a fatwa preventing us from making nuclear weapons. But he was killed! He was simply killed, probably for refusing to make nuclear weapons. This means we must make them!’” the analyst said.
According to him, Turkey wants to have nuclear weapons, too, because it is a major military power. “Poland and Turkey believe they are the two key powers in NATO. The Poles say they will possess nuclear weapons. And this brings us to the notorious F-35 fighters. They are intended exactly for carrying nuclear weapons! And they are now quickly sold out. They are very expensive aircraft with certain positive parameters, although not quite perfect. Turkey says, ‘We need them!’” the political scientist added.
Sergey Kurginyan noted that French aircraft also can carry nuclear weapons, and any speculations that they are just tactical but not strategic are very ambiguous.
