German Armed Forces began to deploy the US missile defense system (Patriot) in Poland, the DPA news agency reported on January 16, citing sources in the security forces.
The Bundeswehr has already arrived in Poland and in the coming days the missile defense systems themselves will arrive there, the agency said.
It is worth mentioning that on November 15, 2022 a rocket fell in the village of Przewodów in eastern Poland, on the border with Ukraine. Two people were killed. The authorities of the country admitted that it belonged to the Ukrainian air defense forces and considered it an accident.
After the incident, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht offered Warsaw support in the form of the deployment of three Patriot batteries. The Polish authorities responded positively.
