Iran and Cuba establish direct shippment

Iran and Cuba established a direct container shipment to increase mutual trade, said Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Mehdi Safari, the Iranian news agency MANA reported on January 9.

Safari placed a special emphasis on the countries’ energy projects.

“One of the problems in trade between the two countries was the lack of a shipping line. Fortunately, it has been organized in the last 20 days, which will increase trade between Iran and Cuba,” the deputy minister said.

In addition, the deputy minister spoke about Iran’s commercial cooperation with West African countries. He said, “There are 20 countries in West Africa with which we have joint projects in the field of engineering technology, mining, science, etc.”
