Russian Defense Ministry: Russian Armed Forces hit drone production in Ukraine

The Russian Armed Forces carried out a strike on Ukrainian drone production facilities, the Russian Defense Ministry said in its operational summary on January 1.

The high-precision weaponry strike was carried out on December 31. It thwarted the Kiev regime’s plans to carry out terrorist strikes on Russian territory. According to the Ministry of Defense, the produced drones were used for this very purpose.

The locations where the Ukrainian drones were stored, as well as the locations from which they were launched, were also hit.

Drones have become an important weapon during the Russian military special operation in Donbass. They are used to monitor the battlefield to conduct military operations. Drones are also used for strikes against the enemy and sabotage.

On October 29, Ukraine conducted drone and naval strikes. The Black Sea Fleet warships and civilian vessels in Sevastopol were attacked.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that among the attacked ships were those that secure corridors in the Black Sea for grain exports from Ukraine. According to the Russian military, British specialists based in Ochakov trained Ukrainian fighters and organized the attack.
