06.02.2023, Moscow

Russia should freeze all property belonging to US citizens and organizations, said State Duma deputy Nikolay Novichkov (” Fair Russia – For Truth”), RIA Novosti reported on February 4.

Novichkov said: “We should freeze all property of the US individuals and legal entities. I would nationalize some of the assets right now,” Novichkov said.

He also proposed that all assets of Russian citizens, which are “frozen” in the West at the moment, should be declared state property: “All private assets of our citizens that are frozen abroad <…> should be nationalized, i.e. declared as state property“.

Yesterday in the United States, US District Court Judge for the Southern District of New York (Manhattan) Paul Gardef ruled that US prosecutors could confiscate $5.4 million from Russian businessman Konstantin Malofeyev, owner of the Tsargrad TV channel.
