Belarusian air defense system shoots down Ukrainian missile

Belarusian air defense forces hit an anti-aircraft guided S-300 missile in the sky around 10 a.m. today, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus wrote on December 29 on the ministry’s official Telegram-channel.

According to the country’s defense ministry, the air defense forces hit the air target.

“Its wreckage was found in an agricultural field near the village of Gorbakha, Ivanov district, Brest region,” the ministry wrote.

Belarusian military established that the wreckage belonged to anti-aircraft guided missile S-300, launched from the territory of Ukraine. The Belarusian Defense Ministry promised to provide more detailed information about the incident in the near future.
