All Russia can do in its current confrontation with the West is use all the resources of the existing system and carefully incorporate other modules into it, which will help it hold up, said political scientist, philosopher and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on September 7 in an interview to Sergey Mardan on the air of the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station.
Kurginyan stressed that remaining strategically standing is serious and for long. He believes that the confrontation with the West that has started opens a several decades long period, over which Russia has to remain standing.
However, the existing Russian system, the political scientist believes, was not made at all to withstand such stress, as it was designed for integration into the West, and the entire language of this system was intended for a sort of a “moderately relaxed living” with a patriotic touch like “let us celebrate and have fun for the sake of our Motherland.” But the system and the language cannot be changed in a minute.
“Therefore, we have no other options rather than, protecting this system, to use all its resources and at the same time cautiously and carefully… not reform it, God forbid, it cannot survive that, and we know what perestroika is – but add something to it, incorporate something into it,” Kurginyan explained.
He noted that such integration largely involves, first of all, the army and the defense industry, which need another level of cooperation between them.
“I am somewhat astonished to see Pantsirs (good machines) or T-72 tanks etc. But I thought there was the -90’ generation of tanks already available. Where are they? Right, according to the commercial thinking, they are in Ethiopia or elsewhere (…). An arms trade is ongoing, and we need to win in it. But our state armaments orders must ensure that our army rearms with them! But it cannot rearm in a minute,” he stressed.
Kurginyan expressed confidence that a different conjunction of the defense industry and the army is required for winning. And the army itself has to be different including its organization and motivation of the personnel. And most importantly, the trend of the forming of the Man has to be changed from a consumerist one to a different one, which would meet the current unprecedented challenge.
