Kurginyan: Ukrainian Nazis who entrenched at Azovstal do not believe that what awaits them will happen to them

20.04.2022, Moscow.

These members of the Azov nationalist battalion (organization banned in the Russian Federation), who have entrenched themselves at Azovstal, do not believe that what awaits them will happen to them, political analyst and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on April 19 during the Great Game program on the Channel One Russia.

According to the analyst, for a very long time, one and the same thing has always been said: the Russians captured us – we will call Bush now, or I don’t know who else, Clinton, or Obama. “Now they’re going to call, they’re going to come to an agreement and they’re going to let us out.”

“Ukraine lives according to a very rigorous myth, which cannot be knocked out of its consciousness. This myth is as follows: there is a master – it’s the West. They have joined him. The West can do anything, if it wants to, with the Kremlin. So, the moment they find themselves in a more or less difficult situation, the West will call the Kremlin and everything will be all right,” Kurginyan says.

According to the political scientist, he has spent much time trying to get this myth out of certain people’s minds. They believe in it sacredly, and they have grounds for it, Kurginyan specifies.

“So when these members of the Azov nationalist battalion (organization banned in Russia) are sitting there in Azovstal, they are waiting for the French prime minister to call now, or someone else, or from flying saucers. They don’t believe what awaits them will happen to them,” Essence of Time’s leader noted.
