Kurginyan: Special operation in Ukraine is momentous for Russia

13.03.2022, Moscow.

A negative outcome for the special operation for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine is extremely unlikely, but if it happens Russia would be doomed, wrote philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in his article What is the Higher Meaning of the Ukrainian Events? published in the Essence of Time newspaper.

“If anything like that [a negative outcome of the special operation] happens, the current authorities will be shaken, and various blows on them will take place, and they will come from all sides. A combination of such blows with an extremely depressive feeling that results from such an unlikely, I must stress this again, outcome can ruin the entire existing system,” he noted.

The political scientist stressed that because no alternative system exists in Russia even in its initial phase, this could mean the collapse of the country, too, which will be “lustfully terminated by all possible means including nuclear.”

Kurginyan believes that it is the acuity of the situation that made Patriarch Kirill indicate the metaphysical significance of the Ukrainian events.

“It is ‘soil and fate’ that encourage a clever and quite politically-sophisticated man to suddenly address not even to metaphysics itself, but to the concept of a ‘metaphysical war.’ The essence of such an address is the almost unbearable acuity of the current moment, its genuinely momentous nature. Yes, momentous nature, which has nothing to do with rhetoric or pathos,” Kurginyan wrote.
