03.03.2022, Moscow.

Many years of genocide against the civilian population of Donbass remain concealed, President of Russia Vladimir Putin said in an address to President of France Emmanuel Macron, according to the Kremlin press service.

“Many years of genocide against the civilian population of Donbass, which resulted in many deaths and made hundreds of thousands people seek for shelter in Russia, remain concealed,” the address says.

A Russian operation aimed at the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine is taking place since February 24. According to President of Russia Vladimir Putin, its purpose is “to defend the people who have been subject to abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime.”

To this end, all the military criminals responsible for “the bloody crimes against civilians” in Ukraine and Donbass over the past 8 years must be brought to justice. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the strikes target only the military infrastructure and the Ukrainian troops. The civilian population is not under threat. The DPR and the LPR are retaking their territories with the assistance of the Russian army. According to President of Russia, Ukraine will not be occupied.
