Ukrainian nationalist battalions occupy hospitals and schools in Lisichansk

Several schools and hospitals in the town of Lysychansk in the Lugansk People’s Republic are used by Ukrainian nationalist formations as strongholds, the press service of the LPR People’s Militia reported on March 2.

“In Lisichansk, Ukrainian nationalist battalions have occupied building No. 2 of the city hospital, also a department of the medical center. On the second and third floors there are machine-gun crews. In addition, the nationalists equipped positions in school No. 14 and lyceum No. 12,” reads the published report.

Earlier, the LPR People’s Militia reported that since February 24, the republic’s armed forces have liberated 40 settlements previously controlled by Ukrainian army’s units and nationalist units.

Russia launched a military special operation in Ukraine on February 24. The purpose of the operation was to carry out the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.
